Sweetheart Arts and Crafts Festival3rd Annual Sweetheart Arts & Crafts Show

When: February 11-12, 2012 – 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Each Day

Where: Brasstown Valley Resort

3rd Annual Sweetheart Arts & Crafts Show at Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa in Young Harris.  February 11th & 12th from 10am until 5pm.  This is an indoor event and admission is Free.
Over 30 Juried vendors from throughout the Mountain Area and the Southeast will be on hand with their unique arts and crafts.  Items featured include: Pottery – Jewelry – Fiber Art – Pine Baskets – Candles – Soaps – Knitting – Fused Glass – Wood Turning and more.  All items are hand made, no retail or resell items are allowed.

When: Saturday February 19th, 2011

Where: Downtown Blue Ridge City Park

Ice Sculpting in the Blue Ridge City Park, a chili cook-off and Live Music. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ice Sculpting will be an interactive event featuring professional ice carvers. See ice carving demonstrations in the park. Kids will enjoy having carvers write their names in ice or help them make their own abstract sculptures. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. is the chili cook-off. The cook-off is open to individuals, civic organizations and restaurants. Guests or “tasters” can sample dozens of chili recipes for an admission ticket of $5.00. Live Music will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. alongside the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Tap your toes to a lineup of family entertainment featuring local talent and surprise entertainers.

39th Annual Georgia Apple Festival Of Ellijay

39th Annual Georgia Apple Festival of Ellijay

When: October 16th – 17th 9:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.

Where: Ellijay Lions Club Fairgrounds

The Ellijay Lions Club, the Gilmer County Chamber of Commerce, the cities of Ellijay and East Ellijay, and Gilmer County invite everyone to come and enjoy the 39th year of the Georgia Apple Festival. There are over 300 vendors with handmade, hand-crafted items, as well as many on-site demonstrations of how selected types of crafts are made. This year promises many new crafts as well as favorites from past festivals. There is a parade and antique car show each year. The antique car show is held at the Civic Center on October 9th. The parade is on the second Saturday, October 16th and begins at 10 A.M.

Join us at The Brasstown Valley Resort Stables on Saturday May the 29th and Sunday May the 30th from 11:00am until 5:00pm for our 3rd Annual Horsin Around BBQ Showdown. Our contestants come from across the state of Georgia and beyond to compete for Cash, Prizes, Trophies and Ribbons in this KCBS Sanctioned Event. The KCBS, Kansas City Barbeque Society is the largest international organization of barbeque and grilling enthusiasts around.

Featured at The Showdown this year will also be: The Blairsville Cruisers Car Show, The All American Arts and Crafts Festival with crafter’s demonstrating their work throughout the day. Come out and see crafters working such as a Blacksmith, a Soap Maker, Wood Carver, Weaver, Potter and more.

2010 Spring Arts And Crafts Festival In Blairsville Georgia

Where: Downtown Blairsville On The Square

Join us in celebration of the arts! The Downtown Blairsville Spring Arts and Crafts Festival is scheduled in late Spring to take advantage of North Georgia’s excellent weather.

Mark your calendars for two days of art exhibits, crafts, entertainment, and good food. Over 50 artists and craftsmen set up exhibits around the square. Everything from paintings to jewelry to pottery is available for purchase. Food vendors include hamburgers and festival type goodies.

The entertainment lineup includes performances by the Blairsville School of Dance, classical musicians, bluegrass musicians, and barbershop quartets. Who knows? You might even hear some jazz, blues, and rock!

Spring Plein Aire Festival In Blue Ridge Georgia

It’s time for the Annual Spring Plein Aire Festival in Blue Ridge, GA.

Artists will be scattered throughout Fannin County painting. You will see them around town, at The Art Center in Historic Downtown Blue Ridge Georgia or possibly come across them on the banks of the Toccoa River. They will be traversing Fannin County capturing the rivers, streams and waterfalls of these Beautiful North Georgia Mountains.
